Common questions

FAQ

Does the audio really play automatically when scanned?
Yes - that's the core idea. When the page opens after a scan, HearMeQR begins reading the approved copy in the visitor's language. We respect the device's auto-play rules and provide an obvious pause/replay control.
Do visitors need to install an app?
No. People use the camera or QR reader they already have. The page opens in the browser and starts playing.
How many languages can one code support?
Up to fifteen published languages per code, with fallbacks you configure.
What kinds of products is it for?
Any product or surface that benefits from a small, multilingual, audible label - food & drink, cosmetics, OTC, electronics, retail tags, museum plaques, transport signage, hospitality, public sector notices.
What does "published-only" mean?
Drafts and tests stay inside the authenticated admin experience. The public route only serves content and translations you have published.
How small can the QR be on packaging?
We design around a roughly 16 mm by 16 mm square. Final spec depends on substrate, contrast, and your print partner.
Where is data processed?
Depends on your deployment and providers - confirm in procurement with your data protection assessment and DPA.
Is HearMeQR affiliated with other multilingual QR vendors?
No. HearMeQR (hearmeqr.co.uk) is an independent UK product. We respect the goals of inclusive design and do not use other companies' trademarks or claim equivalence to their patented or proprietary offerings.
